Dinner tonight was hosted by the Royal Hong Kong Regiment (RKHR), the Volunteers Association, and the Royal British Legion at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Dinner Hall at the Happy Valley Sports Ground & Racetrack. But, before dinner we (our group and the VAC Delegation) stopped at the Club House for a reception.

The reception at the Club House started with a few drinks and a bit of mingling. Here Philip Doddridge, Gorden Collins, and yours truly are talking about a museum that Phil setup in Quebec to preserve items relating to the 1941 Battle of Hong Kong.

Later our host for the evening proceeded to tell us about the Royal Hong Kong Regiment (RKHR) and the Volunteers Association.

Dinner is served, actually it was a buffet but excellent just the same.

During dinner we had the opportunity to hear a few Christmas carols on the bagpipe! A first for many of us.
