I made it back to Calgary late this afternoon. Here's a photo of me at the Calgary airport.
The trip to the London Heathrow airport on the Underground (subway) during rush hour this morning was uneventful like the flight to Calgary, which is a good thing. However, clearing customs in Calgary was quite slow because a plane from Frankfurt landed at about the some time as ours creating a huge line up at customs.
I woke up at about 6:30 this morning (London time) and didn't sleep much on the airplane as I was too busy watching the in flight movies and talking with the woman sitting next to me, so with the 7 hour time difference that means I've been up for over 23 hours - I should sleep good tonight.
The airplane was packed. Most of the folks on board were either Canadians returning home from a trip abroad or foreigners coming to visit Canada. The woman sitting next to me was travelling with her two young granddaughters. They were on their way home to Edmonton after a 5 week vacation visiting family in Ireland and England. We had at least one celebrity of sorts on the plane, Joe Clark.
