Today after lunch took our bus to Kowloon and stopped briefly at the duty free shop, which apparently is the only shop that is guaranteed by the government to not be selling fake goods like so many places in Hong Kong. I beleive only one person bought something at the duty free shop. That's because the prices where no better than was we had in North America, actually they were worse, and the select wasn't that great.

From there we made our way back to the Kowloon Peninsula where to caught the historic Star Ferry back to Hong Kong Island where the our bus picked us up and took us back to the hotel.

John Norris and Justin. The seats on the ferry have an interesting design to deal with the fact that the boat goes back and forth across the harbour without turning around. The backs of the seats are hinged and can be flipped back and forth allowing you to sit facing either end of the boat.

Can you see building one and two of the International Finance Centre, which I mentioned back on my Central Hong Kong [Dec3] page? What about the tower above the Peak Tram upper station shown back on my Peak Tram [Dec3] page?

I'm not sure what's going on over there, but my Hong Kong map shows that the area south of the Kowloon Harbour is scheduled for land reclamation so that could be what's happening.

The building to the left of center is the HSBC build mentioned on my Central Hong Kong [Dec3] page. Do you see the tower above the Peak Tram upper station shown back on my Peak Tram [Dec3] page now?

Doesn't the HSBC building look like one of those transformer toys? This building provides an amazing light show at night.
