Well, I found some great food just around the corner and then I headed over to the Eiffel Tower for the rest of the night. Here's a few photos from this evening.

Here's a shot of the place where I had dinner. My hotel is just one block behind this restaurant. If you look down the side street just above the front wheel of the car to the left of center in this picture, you will see a discontinuity in the buildings. That's the street where my hotel is located. The hotel is just in about 100 feet.

Here's the view I had while eating dinner. Yup, that's the Eiffel Tower back there.

Here's the view as you ride the lower elevator up the tower. This elevator gets you up to level 2 (the part next to my head in the last picture below). A second elevator takes you the rest of the way to the top.

Here's a shot taking from level 2 while there was still some daylight. Notre Dame Cathedral is in the upper left of the picture and the Hotel Des Invalides is in the lower right. All the rest of the pictures below, except for the last one, where taken from the top of the tower.

The Louvre is in the center of this picture.

This is the Palais De Chaillot directly to the north west of the tower.

The restaurant where I had dinner is the bright light just above and to the left of center in this picture. This gives you a better idea where my hotel is located. The street is quite visible here, but the hotel itself doesn't really stand out because all the buildings on the street just blend together.

Yours truly and the tower.
