I made it to London :-)
I also found a good hotel at a reasonable price and will stay here fore 3 days. The weather Saturday looks questionable, but that's ok. If it's raining I will use that time to see some indoor sites. Anyway, I just got cleaned up after the long journey. A 9 hour flight and about 3 hours of lugging my backpack around making my way to the hotel. I decided to take the slower tube in from the airport instead of the more expensive express train. That was uneventfull. The subway here, at least what I saw so far, is much older and much much slower that what I road on in Hong Kong last December. My hand held GPS device is amazing. With it I was basically able to walk straight from the subway station to the hotel I originally had in mind. Then is was just a short walk from there to where I'm staying now which is just as nice and much cheaper. It was kind of funny walking around this area carrying the Rick Steve's travel guide. I ran into others with the same book doing the same thing as me. Anyway it's time for some site seeing!
